Born in the tropical state of Florida, and raised in the cultural city of San Antonio, Texas, I quickly learned how to adapt and embrace change.  During my time at Texas State University I studied all aspects of social normalities, government agencies, city commissions, and state legislature. Despite the fascination in political climates, this was not enough and led me to pursue creative outlets with the local university paper doing weekly animal campus life comic strips. My passion for digital design grew shortly after college after leaving everything in America for the luscious green lands of New Zealand.

Amongst the kiwis (people not fruit) I soaked up various trades, including speaking quicker, woofing, acting, aupair-ing, sheep-herding, singing, dancing, illustrating, mapping, exploring and most of all hands on, self-taught, youtube videos. After two years living life as a hobbit (literally posted up in a tiny closet doing design for days on end for small start-up clients) I managed to slowly make my way back home, stopping in Southeast Asia and Europe for five months along the way. The journey continued after landing in the big apple on a whim, in search of better pubic transport.

The four years spent in New York were a roller coaster that allowed me to expand and fine-tune my design skills, as well as live in different neighborhoods. Jumping industries from government, real estate, education, and entertainment, I quickly became a balanced jack of all trades. It was during my time freelancing for Universal and Netflix that I realized I absolutely loved digital illustration.

Searching for a work-life balance and less concrete-jungle, I decided on a new city, and one more travel stint through South America. There I was able to practice Spanish, as well as explore vibrant history and unique city design. After three months abroad, I returned for the big move to Colorado; the land of dreams, bears, and the great outdoors. Now my days consist of freelance illustration, and part-time coffee exploration. Needless to say, life has bean a long, windy road that continues to surprise and excite me.

So basically just a girl with a blog.
