After visiting Thessaloniki and my horror story, I decided to go further south toward history. Athens was next on the list! Vassilis was a kind soul who was very much into the arts. His beard was almost as intense as his smile.
I was welcomed with open arms into his world and spent a couple of days relaxing and laughing over music & ouzo.
The day time was spent exploring the ruins,
while the nights were also on the ruins, hanging out with his gypsy crowd.
They even taught me how to roll and stack wine glasses. Words cannot explain the amount of life that surrounded a city in which I thought would be so depressed.
If Greece was struggling, I wasn’t buying it.
Think I’ll try an island next…next stop Crete!
